Spectrum Scooters combine the strength and beauty of Spectrum 120 'eco' Ply with an elegant super light weight, compact, 'foldable' modular design.
Our handcrafted, custom built 'eco' ply Scooters are sturdy, super light weight (7.5 kg basic kick scooter) and capable of being used in a multitude of terrain environments such as footpaths, roads, cycleways and trails.
Construction & Materials Used:
Created utilizing 5 colour ranges of Spectrum 120, a superb high quality European multi-ply Birch plywood panel finished on both sides with a hard wearing, decorative translucent film. The translucent film allows for the attractive Birch woodgrain to be used as a feature while providing a smooth glossy, highly decorative surface finish to our *NZ made* Scooters.
Environment Protection System to ISO 14001 as certified by Det Norske Veritas. Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification of Finland (PEFC/02-34-12) confirming that the timber processing, from logging to manufacture and delivery meets the internationally recognised sustainable forest management principles.
All our scooters are finished using Homewood Natural Wax to seal & protect ply components.
ENJOY THE RIDE!
Why our scooters?:
Our unique foldable 'eco' Scooters have a slight 'natural flex' much like a skateboard, combined with top quality 300mm wheels, pneumatic tyres and quality brakes. This combination provides great natural suspension characteristics creating a luxury smooth ride over flat and rougher terrain. A fantastic form of transport, our scooters can go almost anywhere and make a great alternative fitness option!
Scooters as a fitness option?:
Kick Scootering employs many of your *core* muscle groups such as abdominals, lower back, hip, quads, hamstrings and calves through a better, longer range of motion than other forms of human powered transportation. They make the perfect apparatus for anyone wanting to strengthen those areas in addition to their cardiovascular system. Scooters can also be a great alternative and far safer rehabilitation technique for people wanting to improve balance and co-ordination after physical or mental injury.
